Bochum
in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has a quite large tram network including
one "Stadtbahn" line (a tramline that runs through sections designed for
future conversion to full metro) and five other tram lines that also run
underground in the city centre, one of which runs to (and through) the
neighbouring city of Gelsenkirchen. See Wikipedia
