Frankfurt am Main in Hesse, Germany, has a large light rail network, including some lines classified as stadtbahn (though referred to as U-Bahn) with high-floor vehicles running underground in the city centre and beyond and mostly separated from traffic when at ground level, and more traditional tram lines.
