Danny's Tram Stop Photos: Gelsenkirchen

A "U-stadtbahn" sign at Heinrich-König-Platz stationGelsenkirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has a medium-size tram network consisting of three tram lines, one of which is technically part of Essen's network, while another runs to neighbouring Bochum. All run underground in the city centre. One of Essen's stadtbahn lines links with one of Gelsenkirchen's tram lines in the outskirts of the latter as well.

For more information and history, see Wikipedia and UrbanRail.net. For service and fare information, see the operator's website (German only).

My photos come from a day visit in August 2018.
